I found this site while researching a film script of a true U-Boat story but now I am just keeping with it because it is such a fund of information that it satifies my curiosity way beyond any immediate questions I had. It set me reading other material too, so all in all, thanks!!

I worked with a man whose grandfather was a survivor of the USS Ruben James. His daughter did a short video for a school project by interviewing her great-grandfather re his experience.

Great site. At first I came here to find some info about U-boot aces and to get a general view of all that was diving around in the seas during WW2. I instead hit a goldmine of info! Thanks for bringing all this together.

Have liked very much all of your site and the historical facts therein. I have served in USN Submarine Service aboard several WWII vintage diesel submarines between 1965 to 1972, and therefore relate very closely to your stories about life aboard submarines. Thanks so much for your terric website. "Smooth sailing and following seas!"

It would be great if you could make DVD titles of the other three U-Boat types that survive as museums. Thanks for the newsletters. Since I was a young boy I've liked submarines.

I think you should work with Uboat.net so that you avoid duplication. Atleast you should have their link as well as the one to warsailor.com.

I would like to see more detailed info on exactly who did what on board a U-boat, not just a cursory outline on each billet on the boat.

I would also like to see more of the paperwork used on the boats. I am familiar with the KTB and FTB, but there must have been other records kept.

Keep up the good work guys. Look forward to seeing more.
