I think you should work with Uboat.net so that you avoid duplication. Atleast you should have their link as well as the one to warsailor.com.
I would like to see more detailed info on exactly who did what on board a U-boat, not just a cursory outline on each billet on the boat.
I would also like to see more of the paperwork used on the boats. I am familiar with the KTB and FTB, but there must have been other records kept.
Keep up the good work guys. Look forward to seeing more.

I have already sent my request for possible information as to KLt Joachim Knecht and anything that any crewmembers may know about him.
As I stated, he finished the war as a training skipper, but was also slated to command a type XXI
but the war ended before he could.
I am trying to find a possible blood relationship with Pauline Knecht, my Great Grandmother.
I admire the tenacity and dedication of all submariners from all nations. They lived without the comforts and understanding at times they deserved. Keep your site going and God bless you.

I could not open the guestbook.cgi at the end of the 12 part newsletters so I am answering it here. Terrific information. I used some of it in my novel U-Boat Secret Mission where I created a fictional U-724 that tried the same snorkel feat of U-977. Look at my web site www.bardofhinesville.com and you may see the cover where I used a photo of a U-Boat from PHOTOVAULT. Thank you for an interesting 12 weeks with your letters. You provide a great service for writers. Thank you again.

As a great fan of the U-boats, probably due to the film Das Boot (countless times I've watched it), also I have a 1:40 scale model completely radio controlled, your regular e-mails, with stories and info has been very entertaining. I have your CD already, with info, and Kriegsmarine old war time songs. Very good !!

I totally appreciate the newsletter. It was very useful and I actually printed it and compiled it so that I'll have reference in the future.
I hope that a newsletter featuring the biographies of Doenitz's top U-Boat corsairs will be issued in this same format.
Thanks David! God bless you my friend!

Enjoyed the newsletter very much. Thank you!
My father was aboard the Laertes and torpedoed by the U109 nearby Florida Cape Canaveral.
He was lucky and survived.
It astonished me that I found a book of the attack of the Laertes by the U109.
I'm gong to miss the newsletter!
